American footwear brand Sam Edelman is expanding its Malaysian presence with the opening of its first boutique in northern Malaysia at Gurney Plaza, Penang.
Located on the mall’s ground floor, the new 1,056 sq ft boutique is Sam Edelman’s third standalone store in Malaysia and its first outside the Klang Valley. The expansion comes around a year after the brand made its Malaysian debut at The Gardens Mall in September 2025.
Since then, Sam Edelman has expanded with a counter at SEIBU, The Exchange TRX, a pop-up at Suria KLCC and a second standalone boutique at Sunway Pyramid.
Classic Favourites Meet the Fall/Winter 2026 Collection
The new Penang boutique carries several of Sam Edelman’s signature footwear styles, including the Alie Ballet Flats, Bay Sandals, Bianka Sling, Hazel Pumps, Michaela Flats and Langley Sneakers.
Coinciding with the opening is the brand’s Fall/Winter 2026 “She’s a Lady” collection, which explores modern femininity through three style directions: Maximalist, Modern Boho and Sharp Tailoring.
Maximalist focuses on embellishments, textures and bolder proportions, while Modern Boho combines soft suede and relaxed silhouettes with a more polished finish.
Sharp Tailoring takes inspiration from traditional power dressing with structured shapes, heritage plaids and richer textures.
The boutique itself follows Sam Edelman’s modern-luxe aesthetic, featuring a gold-toned façade, neutral interiors, warm wood finishes and a sage green feature wall.
To celebrate its arrival in Penang, Sam Edelman is also partnering with Ghim Ghim for a three-day café pop-up from 11 to 13 September. Visitors who follow @sam_edelman.my on Instagram and show it to staff can redeem a complimentary coffee, matcha or yuzu soda while stocks last.
