As pickleball continues to grow in popularity across Malaysia, FILA is getting behind the sport as the Official Local Platinum Partner of the PPA Asia 1000 Leapmotor Kuala Lumpur Cup 2026, happening from 9 to 13 September at The Hood, Kuala Lumpur.
The sportswear brand will outfit players, crew, volunteers, match officials and VIPs throughout the five-day tournament, while also hosting activities aimed at making pickleball more accessible to players beyond the professional circuit.
Learn From Some of Malaysia’s Best Pickleball Players
One of the highlights will be the FILA Pickleball Clinic, led by UPA Trailblazers Athilla Miasara, Malaysia’s No. 1 Women’s Singles Player, and Syed Uzair, Malaysia’s No. 2 Men’s Singles Player.
Aspiring players will be able to work on their skills through hands-on drills and matchplay, while FILA Performance Icons Amir Ahnaf and Amelia Henderson will also be making an appearance on court. They’ll be joined by content creators and pickleball enthusiasts Jenn Chia and Jon Liddell.
The initiative forms part of FILA’s wider push to highlight the social and inclusive side of pickleball, encouraging Malaysians of different experience levels to get involved in the rapidly growing sport.
FILA Volley Burst 2 Makes Its Debut
FILA will also use the tournament to showcase its new Volley Burst 2, a pickleball shoe aimed at intermediate players.
Designed around stability, grip and comfort, the shoe features an Energized Ever-Grind outsole, a TPU midsole insert for additional support and a cushioned PU insole for longer sessions on court.
Visitors can check out the Volley Burst 2 at the FILA booth throughout the tournament, alongside interactive activities offering the chance to take home exclusive FILA merchandise while stocks last.
