Samsung is expanding its Galaxy S26 lineup with the new Galaxy S26 FE, bringing several of the flagship series’ camera and AI features to a more accessible price point.
Available in Malaysia from 4 September 2026, the Galaxy S26 FE is also the first device in the S26 family to launch with One UI 9, alongside an upgraded camera system, a larger battery and new Galaxy AI features.
More Camera and AI Features
The Galaxy S26 FE features a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main camera, 12MP ultra-wide and 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom, alongside an upgraded 12MP front camera.
One of its new additions is My FanCam, a feature previously introduced on Samsung’s latest foldables. It can automatically track a selected person while recording and reframe the footage to keep them centred — particularly useful for concerts, performances and other moving subjects.
Samsung has also added Super Steady with Horizontal Lock for smoother and more level video, while Nightography handles low-light photography. Photo Assist, meanwhile, allows users to make AI-powered edits using natural language prompts, such as adding or restoring elements within an image.
Galaxy AI gets an update with One UI 9 as well. Now Brief offers more personalised and customisable information cards, while Now Nudge can surface relevant suggestions based on notifications and supported apps.
Circle to Search with Google can now identify multiple objects within the same image, while Gemini Omni can create and edit video clips using photos and videos stored in the Gallery.
Bigger Battery and 120Hz AMOLED Display
The Galaxy S26 FE comes with a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1,900 nits.
Under the hood is Samsung’s Exynos 2500 processor, paired with 8GB of RAM and storage options ranging from 128GB to 512GB.
Battery capacity has increased to 4,900mAh, with support for 45W wired charging. Samsung says the phone can reach up to 69% charge in around 30 minutes when using a compatible 45W adapter. It also supports 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
Despite the larger battery, the device measures just 7.4mm thick and weighs 193g, while IP68 water and dust resistance is included.
Samsung is also promising seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, giving the S26 FE longer-term software support. Eligible users will additionally receive a six-month Google AI Pro trial with 5TB of cloud storage.

From 4 to 30 September 2026, buyers can enjoy promotional rebates of up to RM600 through selected banks or SPayLater at participating stores, bringing the starting price down to as low as RM2,499. Samsung Fans can also receive an additional RM100 exclusive rebate.
With the Galaxy S26 FE, Samsung is essentially packaging some of the S26 series’ most notable camera, AI and software features into a more affordable device — while retaining essentials such as a 120Hz AMOLED display, telephoto camera and long-term software support.
