Le Méridien Putrajaya is celebrating a decade in Malaysia, marking its 10th anniversary with an evening dedicated to the people, experiences and milestones that have shaped the hotel since its opening.
The 10 Years of Excellence Anniversary Soirée, held ahead of Malaysia’s 69th Independence Day, brought together representatives from the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia (MOTAC), IOI Properties Group, Marriott International, as well as the hotel’s partners, guests and associates.
Among those in attendance were Chua Choon Hwa, Deputy Secretary-General (Tourism) of MOTAC; Dato’ Lee Yeow Seng, Group Chief Executive Officer of IOI Properties Group; and Datin Yeo Bee Yin.
A Decade in Putrajaya
Over the past 10 years, Le Méridien Putrajaya has grown into more than just an accommodation option, offering dining, weddings, business events and leisure experiences alongside direct connectivity to IOI City Mall.
The hotel recently received the Best Lifestyle Hotel Experience recognition at the Tourism Industry Awards 2026, while its signature Chinese restaurant, Le Mei, was recognised under the Best Specialty Cuisine Restaurants category at the HAPA Awards 2026 Series 2.
General Manager Sonal Malik reflected on the milestone, highlighting the many stays, dining experiences, celebrations and personal moments that have become part of the hotel’s story over the past decade.
As part of the anniversary celebration, the hotel also recognised 14 long-serving associates who have been with Le Méridien Putrajaya since it first opened. They later joined guests for the ceremonial cutting of a 10-tier anniversary cake.
Art and local culture also played a prominent role in the evening. An artwork depicting the hotel by Malaysian artist Nor Asyikin Abdullah of Lakar by Mekar was showcased, while Syamsul Addenno of OnWall Enterprise created a live painting bringing together Le Méridien Putrajaya and the surrounding cityscape.
Celebrating 10 Years With Special Stays and Dining
The celebrations are continuing beyond the anniversary soirée, with Le Méridien Putrajaya introducing a limited-time collection of stay and dining experiences.
The Decade of Moments Stay includes accommodation, breakfast for two, an anniversary afternoon tea and commemorative touches.
Meanwhile, The Art of 10 brings anniversary-themed dining experiences to the hotel’s restaurants and lounges, including Le Mei, Latest Recipe and Latitude 02. Guests can expect offerings ranging from a 10-course degustation and signature dim sum to anniversary buffets, cocktails, éclairs and afternoon tea.
As it enters its second decade, Le Méridien Putrajaya plans to continue developing its accommodation, dining and lifestyle offerings while encouraging more travellers to discover Putrajaya.
