Samsung has officially launched its latest Galaxy Z Series in Malaysia, bringing the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8 together with the new Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9.
The launch was celebrated through Samsung’s Haus of Fold Roadshow, an experiential showcase designed to demonstrate how the latest foldables fit into different aspects of everyday life, from productivity and content creation to entertainment and staying connected.
The arrival follows strong local pre-order interest, particularly for the Galaxy Z Fold8 in Lavender and Graphite, as Malaysians continue to embrace foldable smartphones.
Malaysian stars join the celebration
Samsung also brought some familiar Malaysian faces to the Haus of Fold.
In conjunction with Malaysia’s 69th Independence celebrations, stars of the upcoming action thriller Takluk 2: Op Daulat! — Syafiq Kyle, Mimi Lana, Kamal Adli and Anas Ridzuan — made an appearance to preview the film’s trailer and share their experiences filming with the Galaxy Z Series.
Malaysian music icon Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza also joined the event, sharing her experience with the Galaxy Z Fold8.
Samsung has also worked with several popular Malaysian brands and services to bring familiar everyday apps to the foldable experience, including AmBank, CelcomDigi, Gigi Coffee, GSC Cinemas, iQIYI, Maybank, Maxis and ZUS Coffee.
Meet the new Galaxy Z Series
The Galaxy Z Fold8 features a wider cover screen for everyday tasks such as messaging, browsing and short-form video, while its 4:3 main display provides more room for gaming, reading and entertainment when unfolded.
Sitting above it is the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, which uses Samsung’s new Flex Titanium technology to achieve a slimmer display structure while improving durability and reducing the visibility of the crease over time. Its expansive 8-inch main display provides additional room for multitasking, alongside an upgraded camera system.
For those who prefer something smaller, the Galaxy Z Flip8 is Samsung’s sleekest Flip yet. Its redesigned FlexWindow brings apps, information and personalised features directly to the cover screen, reducing the need to unfold the phone for quick interactions.
Prices start at RM5,399 for the Galaxy Z Flip8, followed by RM7,299 for the Galaxy Z Fold8 and RM8,099 for the Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra.
Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Watch9 arrive too
Samsung’s latest wearables are also making their Malaysian debut alongside the foldables.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2, priced at RM3,399, is geared towards outdoor and performance-focused users. It features a 47mm design, 800mAh battery, display brightness of up to 5,000 nits, a shock-resistant titanium casing and dedicated outdoor tracking modes.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy Watch9 is positioned as an everyday health and fitness companion. Available in 40mm and 44mm sizes, it includes features such as Vitals, Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load and Fitness Index, with prices starting from RM1,499.
Launch promotions until October
From 14 August to 4 October 2026, customers purchasing selected Galaxy Z Series devices can enjoy benefits worth up to RM1,909.90, including rebates, Samsung Rewards Points and a complimentary 12-month iQIYI Premium VIP subscription.
Samsung is also offering separate promotions for the Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Watch9, including accessory bundles, discounts when purchased alongside selected Galaxy smartphones, Samsung Rewards Points and complimentary Strava access.
The new Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and Galaxy Watch9 are now available in Malaysia through Samsung’s official retail channels.
Samsung has also updated its Smart Switch experience for users moving over from another device, allowing contacts, photos, videos, messages, music, files, alarms and other data to be transferred to a new Galaxy device with a more streamlined setup process.
