Samsung has expanded its Odyssey gaming monitor lineup in Malaysia with two new models designed for users who want a display that can handle work, content creation and gaming from a single screen.
Headlining the launch is the 32-inch Odyssey G8 G80HS, Samsung’s first gaming monitor to feature a 6K resolution. It is joined by the 27-inch Odyssey G8 G80HF, which offers a 5K display in a more compact form factor.
Dual Mode lets users prioritise resolution or speed
One of the standout features across both monitors is Samsung’s Dual Mode technology, allowing users to switch between ultra-high resolution and high refresh rates depending on their workload.
The Odyssey G8 G80HS can operate at 6K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate for detailed visuals, or switch to 3K at 330Hz for faster-paced gaming.
Meanwhile, the Odyssey G8 G80HF offers 5K resolution at 180Hz, with the option to switch to QHD at 360Hz when smoother gameplay is the priority.
The feature is designed to give users greater flexibility, whether they’re editing content, multitasking across multiple applications or playing competitive games.
Built for work and entertainment
Beyond gaming, Samsung positions both monitors as displays that can support a range of everyday tasks.
The higher resolutions provide additional screen space and sharper visuals for productivity, while HDR10+ Gaming dynamically adjusts brightness and contrast to improve image quality across games, movies and creative applications.
Samsung says the new Odyssey lineup is aimed at users looking for a display that transitions seamlessly between work, entertainment and gaming without requiring multiple monitors.
Pricing and availability
The Samsung Odyssey G8 G80HF is now available in Malaysia at a promotional price of RM3,099 (RRP RM3,799) as part of Samsung’s Online Merdeka Screen & Sound Upgrade Promotion, running from 1 August to 30 September 2026.
Samsung has yet to announce local pricing for the 32-inch Odyssey G8 G80HS.
