1st Malaysia Kendama Festival 2024 & Malaysia Kendama Association Inauguration Ceremony at Level 6 Tokyo Street, Pavilion Kaula Lumpur

by ikalmayang

The 1st Malaysia Kendama Festival will be held  in 2024 from 1st January to 14th January, organized by the Malaysia Kendama Association.  This event aims to increase awareness of Kendama sports among Malaysians and to foster  greater knowledge of these sports.

Kendama is a traditional folk skill game from Japan that requires patience, balance, and  coordination. The ball can be dropped up, down, left, right, and through the different pieces  that connect them using wrist strength and other abilities. Kendama follows a method that  stays loyal to its origins and emphasizes the stability of basic techniques, starting with basic  moves and working up to more complex ones. As a result, the Kendama Competition was  organized to facilitate communication and mutual learning among the masters.

The Kendama Association holds a competition with five distinct categories to promote  Kendama. Participants of all ages come together for the Kendama competition to experience  this sport. Through the contest and a demonstration introducing the Kendama, the audience  will have a greater understanding of the sport.

The Malaysian Kendama Association was founded under the leadership of Mr. Conan Tan,  who has extensive experience and has won many outstanding results in international  Kendama competitions.

Thus, the Malaysian Kendama Association decided to have an inaugural ceremony on  January 13th to ensure that sponsors, journalists, periodicals, guests, and business  associates would have the opportunity to part in this wonderful event.

The spirit and ideals of Kendama are further articulated through written introductions, to  which journalists from various channels are extended a special invitation to attend. Along with  encouraging young people to take part in Kendama training, we also hope that more people  will join this association, particularly parents and kids who would like to experience it.
