Samsung introduced the Galaxy S22 smartphone and tablet lines, including the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8 tablet series. According to Samsung, each product line gets three new varieties, with the Ultra model offering the most up-to-date and advanced features.
All of this took place at the Galaxy Unpacked event, which lasted an hour and served as our official introduction to the new products. If you’ve been following the rumours about the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy Tab S8, Unpacked didn’t bring many surprises, but it’s still wonderful to receive the official word from Samsung.
Pre-orders for the Galaxy S22 are also available. Here’s a rundown of the Samsung products that were launched yesterday.
Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus: The Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus introduced camera upgrades such as a wider main sensor and improved optical zoom on their respective telephoto lenses. In the United States, the phones sport a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 CPU and somewhat smaller displays than their Galaxy S21 predecessors; nonetheless, pricing has not altered from the S21.
Price & Availability: The 128GB variant of the Samsung Galaxy S22+ costs RM4,099, while the 256GB model costs RM4,299. Phantom White, Phantom Black, Green, and Pink Gold are the colours that will be available.

Galaxy S22 Ultra: The centrepiece of the list is the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which, as expected, incorporates numerous Galaxy Note features. There are other camera enhancements, such as a clean lens that reduces glare and lens flare and 45W charging.
Price & Availability: The variant with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage starts at RM5,099 and will be available in Phantom White, Phantom Black, Burgundy, or Green. For RM5,499, you can improve the specifications to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while RM5,899 gets you 512GB of storage.

Galaxy Tab S8 and Galaxy Tab S8 Plus: Both the Galaxy Tab S8 and Tab S8 Plus come with an S Pen. The Tab S8 has an 11-inch LCD with a refresh rate of 120Hz, while the Tab S8 Plus has a 12.4-inch OLED. Both are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip.
Price & Availability: The WiFi-only devices appear to be available in Malaysia, with the 128GB Galaxy Tab S8 costing RM3,299 and the 256GB Galaxy Tab S8+ costing RM4,599.

Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra: It is undeniable that the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra main highlight of Samsung’s tablet lineup, and it may finally provide Samsung as a plausible contender of Apple’s iPad Pro. A 14.6-inch screen is included, as well as an S Pen and twin front cameras for video conversations. People who own previous Samsung smartphones will appreciate the Tab S8 Ultra’s compatibility.
