Last Saturday, we had the most unexpected rainfall, which was over the monthly normal and had flooded several areas in the Klang Valley. The unusual phenomenon was not limited to the country’s most populous urban centre, but affected other areas across Peninsular Malaysia.
Many people have lost their houses and personal belongings, resulting in significant financial loss. To alleviate the dire situation, relief centres sprung up around the country, while good Samaritans donated critical support in the form of shelters, food, and monetary assistance. Victims struggled to get necessities such as food, drink, and clothes while dealing with the horrific effects.
