The series revolves around a young man and woman who find themselves meeting the person of their dreams, quite literally. Amry is played by Fattah Amin – winner of the Most Popular TV Actor, 31st Anugerah Bintang Popular Berita Harian in 2018, which recognises and honours the popularity of Malaysian celebrities and entertainers in the entertainment industry. Meanwhile, Nabila is portrayed by Diana Danielle – winner of the Best Supporting Actress, 29th Malaysia Film Festival in 2017, an official award ceremony by the National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (FINAS).

The pair cross paths literally in their dreams, on a special night where their dreams merge into one. As they discover that the other may be more than just a character of their own subconscious, they grow closer, spilling secrets and facing their fears together. Their dreams are the universe’s way of giving them a second chance, one where they can be better than they were before. GANJIL also captures the universal struggle felt by many of finding one’s place in the world, while balancing one’s duty to family.

Produced by Razor’s Edge Pictures and directed by Datuk Yusry Abdul Halim, a visionary known for pushing the boundaries of visual effects. GANJIL is a love story that elevates the timeless romance genre with a blend of fantasy, resulting in a story with beautiful imagery. This series sets the real world against the dream world of Amry and Nabila’s subconscious minds. The 10-episode season ultimately gives the audience an in-depth look into their psyches and deepest anxieties, through the dream world they inhabit together. The show also has a strong supporting cast, featuring Izzue Islam and former child actress Fatin Afeefa who play key characters in the lives of Nabila and Amry respectively.

GANJIL will premier on Viu on September 30, with two episodes released every week on Thursday until October 28. Viu-ers will be able to watch the series on the Viu app, which is available for free download on App Store, Google Play, and selected smart TVs, as well as on the web at www.viu.com
