Those who have finally completed both of their vaccine doses might enjoy a number of benefits. As of now, the government has agreed to allow domestic visitors from all states to visit Langkawi.
Those who are still under the Phase One order are also included. Tourists from areas subject to the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO), on the other hand, are not allowed.
Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, has emphasised that visitors to Langkawi must follow the stringent SOPs as normal. Domestic tourists will be able to go there by land or air, although those who choose the former must organise transportation through travel agencies from their point of origin to the Langkawi ferry jetty.
Apart from that, those who will be travelling from Kedah, Perlis and by plane will be exempted from this. They won’t have to go through a COVID-19 screening test nor insurance coverage as well. Another thing is it is important for travellers to keep and show proof of travel such as tickets and hotel bills in order to apply for permission from the police or any authority.
Unlike before, only two people were allowed in a car together but now with this Langkawi travel bubble, the number of passengers allowed to be in a car would be based on the vehicle’s capacity.
Activities that tourists are allowed to participate in Langkawi include hotel and homestay facilities such as the pool, gym, surau and more. They can also enjoy water sports and are allowed to visit adventure parks, zoos and more.
