From September 15 onwards, you will no longer be able to walk-in for a vaccination in the Klang Valley

Walk-in vaccinations in the Klang Valley would be unavailable after September 15, according to Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Dr Adham Baba.

This decision was made after it was discovered that only a few residents in the Klang Valley have yet to be vaccinated and the walk-in Vaccination Center (PPV) also received a low attendance.

He did say, however, that some Health Clinics would begin administering vaccines on September 16 and that the list of Health Clinics would be released soon.

While walk-in vaccination will continue in other states, the public is reminded to always pay attention to the announcements made by their local state health authorities.

Dr Adham also urged university and matriculation students around the country to take the vaccination.

This is due to the fact that 195,000 students (37.5%) at public universities and 51,000 (10.2%) in private institutions have not yet got the vaccine, whereas 547,595 students from public and private universities have been fully vaccinated as of September 7.
