Starbucks is pleased to present its artfully designed exclusive mooncake sets to be shared with friends and family this year in celebration of the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and the unveiling of the first iteration of its collaboration with local designer, Christy Ng.
The limited-edition mooncake sets include distinctively designed mini-tote bags by Christy Ng, which draw inspiration from the festival’s ancient folklore but with a modern twist. This exclusive tote bag’s design tells its own story, with the Crane bringing Chang’e, the prevailing protagonist of the Mid-Autumn festival, an Osmanthus flower from earth to soothe her nostalgia for family and home as she sits far away on the moon.
Families can now express their love and gratitude for their loved ones even when they are separated with these specially designed mooncake sets, bridging the gap of longing and familiarity, as Chang’e did.
The Starbucks® x Christy Ng Exclusive Mooncake Set in Burgundy Red and the Starbucks® x Christy Ng Limited Edition Mooncake Set in Midnight Blue is available in two colourways. Add a touch of personalised luxury by personalising the bag with your name, which is only available in this colourway.
This year, Starbucks launched 4 kinds of mooncakes, namely Caramel Macchiato, Lotus Salted Egg, Chocolate Hazelnut Praline and Matcha Red Bean Taste (Matcha Adzuki).
Starbucks is also introducing a collection of tumblers, water bottles, and mugs dedicated to the Mid-Autumn festivities to further welcome the festivities. The Stargazing Bunny Collection is inspired by stargazing and features floppy bunnies searching the dreamy constellations under a starry night to celebrate the season of a reunion.
