Right at the beginning of this story, another of the new characters is also introduced.

“My name is Tokio. But when this story began, it wasn’t. This was me… and this, the love of my life. The last time I saw him I left him in a pool of blood with his eyes open”. In Part 1 of La Casa De Papel we meet Tokio (Úrsula Corberó) holed up in a motorhome, running from the police and suffering an indescribable loss- the love of her life.

2

Meet René (Miguel Angel Silvestre, Sky Rojo, Sense8), the man she started mugging with, the man she travelled with, the man she loved before Silene Oliveira realised that everything in her beautiful little world might go horribly wrong.

Sagasta (José Manuel Seda, Perdóname, Seor), Commander of the Spanish Army’s Special Forces, is another new character this season. He has served in many worldwide operations against the worst of humanity, making him exactly the same as the individuals he has slain.

He is a born leader, and his soldiers will follow him to the very end if he wants them to since he is just like them. When he dons the uniform, he transforms into an analytical, cold, and merciless intellect, capable of going above and beyond any ethical or moral norm if the mission demands it.

Money Heist Part 5 Volume 1 premieres on Netflix on September 3.
