Riuh is helping out the community with their very own support local movement

As we manoeuvre through the Covid-19 pandemic, RIUH, the nation’s favourite curated creative platform, champion of the Malaysian creative scene and the #supportlokal movement is reaching out to lend a hand through RIUH 4 Rakyat, a four week online do good, a feel-good festival which aims to spread the message of hope and positivity far and wide.


In conjunction with RIUH’s fourth anniversary, RIUH 4 Rakyat is an initiative to support Malaysian creatives which comprises local businesses, performers, creative facilitators and visual designers.


Throughout the month, RIUH will showcase a curation of local businesses, specially designed illustrations, live concerts by The RIUH Show, creative jam sessions for both adults and children, giveaways as well as fun activities; all with the sole mission to uplift the spirit of the people while keeping them safe and entertained at home. Additionally, as another form of support for local businesses, for every RM1 purchased, RIUH is pledging to donate RM1 to the fund*.


Amongst some of the local businesses joining in the cause are Pico Olo, Clayground Crafts, Halo Doughnut, The Hungry Tapir, Wonderbrew and more.


The RIUH Show will also see a selection of local performers such as Mafidz, Asyraf Nasir, Airliftz and more to be announced! RIUH 4 Rakyat will also be in collaborations with fellow creative collectives including Kakiseni and CultCreative, organisations like Buy For Impact by MaGIC and Fujifilm and independent media outlets, Makchic.


Proceeds from the RIUH Pledge for businesses, ticket sales from the creative jams, activities, the RIUH Show as well as donations will go towards four organisations namely Projek Bangsa Malaysia for Frontliners, Tempatan Food Bank by Tempatan Fest, Malaysian Mental Health Association (MMHA) and Refuge for Refugees.
