By now most of us already have our go-to McD menu but what happens when there’s new options? Currently, McDonald’s have come up with a new limited edition menu that is screams burgers, desserts and cakes with a twist. Those who are huge fans of the Double Cheeseburgers and Quarter Pounders are definitely in for a treat.
Now that our independence month is right around the corner, McD probably made the right choice by coming up with this new “Malaysian-fusion” menu.
So first up, burgers!
Double Cheeseburger & Spicy Double Beef with Cheese
Enjoy the spicier and hotter versions of your favourite beef burgers with a spicy tomato sauce that complements the beef patties well. The burgers are layered with juicy beef patties, cheesy cheese, and fresh vegetables is a spicy tomato sauce that will leave your mouths watering.
Corn Pie & Cempedak McFlurry
Nothing beats McDonald’s warm pie and cold McFlurry for dessert but this limited edition Corn Pie is brimming with sweet and savoury buttered corn and encased in the trademark crispy, crunchy wrap. This is definitely something to savour.
Whereas for the new Cempedak McFlurry, it is served in the classic vanilla ice cream mixed with one of the local favorites – cempadak. And, if there’s one thing we’ve learned about McD in the past is that we’ll be getting chunks of cempadak-s with the McFlurry too.
Apple Crumble Cheesecake & Pandan Gula Melaka Cake
McCafe isn’t sitting out this one either, with the addition of two new cakes to the menu. The Apple Crumble Cheesecake is covered with a layer of sweet and crispy apple crumble that has a taste and texture that will get you going for seconds.
The Pandan Gula Melaka Cake, on the other hand, is not foreign to us, as the taste have been used in most of our Malaysian cooking and treats. The Gula Melaka sandwiched between pandan sponge cakes and topped with generous amounts of coconut shavings is just perfection.
