Enjoy a rejuvenating, back-to-nature overnight stay at one of Jeju’s popular green tea plantations

Picturesque green tea fields on Korea’s tropical, volcanic island of Jeju play centre stage in a new partnership between Airbnb and popular Korean beauty brand Innisfree. For one night only, two fortunate guests will get the chance to stay on some of the island’s major green tea plantations for a soothing, back-to-nature overnight stay, which will be accessible on Airbnb for the first time.

Green tea from Jeju is a key ingredient in Innisfree’s most famous product line, the Green Tea Line, which is known for its healing properties. Innisfree will be opening the doors to its green tea farms, Dolsongyi and Seogwang, as well as its retail space and cafe, Jejuhouse, as part of this overnight stay.

Residents of Korea will be able to arrange a wonderful overnight stay on the green tea plantation starting June 28 at 9:00 AM Malaysia Standard Time (MYT), on a first-come, first-served basis. The stay will take place from August 6 to 7, and a maximum of two visitors will be accommodated. To guarantee a successful booking procedure on the site, the booking fee for the stay is about USD$10 (RM42) with the whole money reimbursed to visitors in cash during their stay.

Guests will have access to a customised menu of farm-forward activities throughout their stay, including learning about the exquisite art of tea in a tea ceremony and reconnecting with nature by plucking fresh tea leaves with the skincare company’s top research and development specialist. Local Airbnb Experiences Hosts will lead visitors through a revitalising outdoor yoga session, a private photoshoot in the middle of the teeming forest, and more.

6

Guests will be treated to an intimate series of dinners created by Jejuhouse’s chef and featuring some of the island’s freshest ingredients. They will spend the night in an atmospheric camping van with views of green tea fields; an indoor-outdoor atmosphere will be enhanced by a lounge space put up immediately outside the camping vehicle, a great hideaway for a calm time staring at the sky.

“We have drawn so much inspiration for our products from Jeju’s extraordinary natural beauty and abundant resources and are thrilled to partner with Airbnb to bring this very special destination to life for a wide domestic audience,” states Ms. Hyejin Lee, Senior VP of Innisfree Marketing.

“We are delighted to extend Airbnb’s footprint in Jeju – where we have a dedicated and passionate host community – with our partnership with Innisfree,” states Brandon Son, Country Manager of Airbnb Korea. “In these challenging times, people are eager for an opportunity to get back to nature and spend quality time with loved ones. Our partnership with Innisfree is a terrific way to do that.”

Airbnb’s partnership with Innisfree is the latest in a long line of efforts aimed at bringing the world’s most famous, surprising, and unique places to the platform enabling visitors to have a genuinely once-in-a-lifetime experience. Previous advertisements took place in the Louvre Museum in Paris and a glitzy beach home in Malibu decorated in the Barbie manner.

Interested guests should be aware that house regulations are strictly enforced in accordance with COVID-19 requirements, and anyone requesting a reservation should be currently residing in Korea to reduce danger. The house will be cleaned in line with the Airbnb improved cleaning standard, so guests can relax. Due to travel limitations, this opportunity is only available to those who are presently residing in Korea.
