IKEA is recalling its HEROISK and TALRIKA collection due to the risk of breakage and burns

When it comes to dinnerware, especially from IKEA, you can be assured that most of the time it is worthwhile and of high quality. However recently, IKEA has advised all customers who have purchased the HEROISK or TALRIKA plates, bowls, and mugs to cease using them and contact the company for a complete refund.

It is well known that IKEA has always placed safety first, which is why they are taking preventive precautions with this specific collection. According to reports, these plates, bowls, and cups have the potential to shatter and inflict burns due to heated contents. Despite the fact that the majority of their goods are tested and meet applicable standards and legislation, the company has received multiple reports of the products breaking.

So far, there are no incidents in Malaysia yet. However, in order to prevent it from happening, for precautionary reasons, it’s best for customers to return any of their HEROISK and TALRIKA products to any IKEA store at the Exchanges & Returns counter for a full refund.

So yet, no instances have occurred in Malaysia. To prevent this from happening, consumers should return any HEROISK and TALRIKA goods to any IKEA store at the Exchanges & Returns desk for a full refund.

For this case, a proof purchase won’t be needed.

Since we are under the Movement Control Order, IKEA Malaysia has stated that there are no deadlines when it comes to returning these products.

IKEA apologises for any inconvenience this recall may cause.
