Apple has recently announced a bunch of new products during their “Spring Loaded” event last night. Featuring a new iPad Pro, the M1 iMac, Apple AirTags, Apple TV and more. The event was live streamed on the brand’s official website and YouTube channel for everyone to watch.
5th gen iPad Pro
During the event, Apple unveiled a new iPad Pro with a mini-display and an M1-level chip. This new cutting-edge iPad is reportedly the most powerful tablet on the market as the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is equipped with a 1000-nit Liquid Retina XDR display as well as micro LEDs, which promises a stunning visual experience for the user.
Unfortunately, the iPad is the only thing that came with outstanding changes as there has been no word about the Apple Pencil upgrades yet.
The iPad Pro will be available for pre-order from Friday, April 30. Prices start from RM3,499 for the 11-inch model and RM4,799 for the 12.9-inch model.
Apple M1-powered colourful iMacs
Aside from the iPads, Apple also introduced an all-new iMac powered by Apple’s M1 chip. In terms of design, it is remarkably thin — 11.5 millimetres to be precise — and comes in a variety of vivid colours to suit the user’s preferences: red, purple, black, yellow, silver, blue, and green. The colour choice does remind us of the first iMacs, which were launched twenty years ago.
To round out the colourful package, the latest iMac comes with a magnetically attached power connector and a beautifully woven 2-meter-long colour-matched cord. Aside from that, the Magic Mouse and Magic Keyboard also come in a matching set of colour.
Apple, on the other hand, has upgraded the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and new keys for emoji, Spotlight, Do Not Disturb and locking the Mac. This new keyboard also includes a Numpad edition, which is not available as a separate purchase but is compatible with all M1 Macs.
Now, let’s get back to the desktop itself.
Featuring a larger 24-inch screen with a “4.5K” retina display, the iMac promises to deliver a brilliant vivid viewing experience for the user. With 11.3 million pixels, 500 nits of brightness, and over a billion colours — imagine what would it be like to binge watch shows or do some editing work on this incredible desktop.
Apart from that, it also comes with the newest six-speaker setup which produces more powerful and spatial audio.
The new iMac will be available for pre-orders from Friday, April 30 and will be in stores by the second half of May. Prices start from RM5,599 for the entry-level model onwards.

Then there’s the next generation of Apple TV 4K that comes with an all-new Siri remote. It can deliver high frame rate HDR with Dolby Vision which the A12 Bionic chip provides a significant boost in performance. With the new design, the remote makes it even easier to watch shows and movies on Apple TV with intuitive navigation control.

To make it work, you simply need to get on your device and open up the Find My app.
Cute and small, the Airtag is priced at RM149 and comes with a free customisable engraving.
