Are you into local singing competitions? Then most probably you have heard of GoGo Super Voice from their last year’s debut. With the start of a new season, contestants who want to make it big should be ready to sing as much as they can. As usual, the competition will be held on Facebook to put your singing talent to the test.

The early bird price for the tickets would be RM60, but it would only be available to the first 300 people, after which it would revert to its usual price of RM120. Those who want to register should do it from now to May 1, 2021, over HERE.

Contestants should look forward to the competition’s celebrity jury, which includes Sam Siew, Bell Yu Tian, and Wu Jiahui.

In terms of bonuses and prizes, the winner will get RM2888 and a GoGo Super Voice customised trophy. The first and second runners-up will get RM1888 and RM888, respectively, as well as a trophy.
So let’s get to the breakdown of each round.
Round One: Audition

Contestants will be required to submit an audition tape (minimum 1 minute or maximum 3 minutes) by May 2, 00:00 am. The singer must ensure that they are using a minus one, karaoke, or self-play and self-sing version. Songs cannot be tuned or use on-stage singing or performance videos. In the audition session, there will be three-star judges who pick the top 20 finalists from the audition session to advance to the semi-finals. Contestants must submit the recorded audition video to the GoGo Event Facebook Messenger within three days of registering, along with their name, age, and song title. Each submission will be added to the GoGo Super Voice Season 2 Facebook Page and scored by the jury.
The first round will end on 2/5/2021, at 00:00 am. 2/5/2021 (6 pm) to announce the 20 semi-finalists and in terms of scoring, it will be based on the radio equipment, timbre, pitch, beat, emotion and overall performance as the competition criteria.

Round 2: Semi-finals (Top 20)

The 20 contestants who have qualified for the next round will be split into groups of ten. On May 7 and 8, there will be two Facebook live streaming matches (Go Live). In each round, three players (for a total of six) will be chosen to advance to the finals. Each group has 10 minutes to complete the self-introduction and singing performances (not including the timeline and on-line connection). Inability to get in touch with the contestants on the day of the competition or being late would result in immediate disqualification. In the event, if something goes wrong on the competition ground, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the contestants’ results immediately.
The scoring will be based on the radio equipment, timbre, pitch, beat, emotion and overall performance as the competition criteria.

Round 3: Finals

The live coverage of the competitions begins at 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 15, with a total of 6 teams. Each player is given ten minutes to present themselves and sing (including the time of bad connection and online connection). Failure to link to the internet for longer than 10 minutes would result in failure to complete the performance, which would be considered a waiver. Inability to get in touch with the contestants on the day of the competition or being late would result in immediate disqualification. In the event, if something goes wrong on the competition ground, the organizer reserves the right to cancel the contestants’ results immediately.

Terms & Conditions

1. The competition is only open to Malaysian citizens aged 18 to 40. All contract singers or those who have been in any major competition is not permitted to participate.
2. Participants can only perform solo; no duets are permitted (allowed to dance).
3. GoGo Super Voice music celebrities will be invited to act as judges. The jury’s verdict is final, and no appeals are permitted.
4. Participants can only perform by singing Chinese, Cantonese, or English songs. Participants must bring their own accompaniment songs, and the competition song cannot last more than five minutes.
5. Crude or explicit sex songs are prohibited.
6. Participants are not allowed to use lewd, insulting, pornographic, or other objectionable actions or movements in their performances, even those that quote or portray crime, nudity, or explicit behaviour.
7. If you are not in the spirit of the competition or do not follow the GoGo Super Voice standards for whatever reason, organisers will make the final decision and you will be disqualified.
8. All participants are obliged to respect intellectual property rights.
9. GoGo Super Voice will not be held liable in the event of a lawsuit over related original music copyright disputes.
10. GoGo Super Voice reserves the right to use all participants’ video/photo submissions for commercial and promotional purposes.
11. Payments are non-refundable in any case. A registered participant cannot be changed to another participant to compete as a representative in the competition.
12. Participants must upload the recorded song within three days of the registered date, and the video must be sent to the GoGo Event Facebook Messenger.
13. Entries must indicate the participant’s name, age and song.
14. During the semi-finals and finals, participants who are late will be ineligible to perform and will be automatically disqualified.
15. In case of any sort of disruptions in the event site, the organiser reserves the right to terminate the contestants from performing immediately.
16. All participants must adhere to the final score and decision made by the judges, as well as the competition rules and laws. The organizer reserves the right to change the way of the competition.
17. The organizer has the freedom to add or delete terms and conditions.
