When it comes to this well-known Japanese department store, no introduction is needed. With Malaysia’s retail industry booming by the minute, Pacific Retail Management (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd has planned to open the first JONETZ by DON DON DONKI shop at Lot 10 Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur.
The store is located in KL’s busiest commercial centre and will feature a different retail style from the ones that we are familiar with. Malaysians can now look forward to an incredible range of Japanese food options and hands down, this is a store like no other.
Many who have visited the same outlets in Japan will immediately remember the jingle when they step into the store. With an extensive range of products, you can never have enough especially when it comes to beauty products, household items, groceries and the awesome snacking corner.
If you have been dying to try out different flavours of Kit Kat that is only available in Japan, well, fret not ’cause there’s a whole lot of shelves with it.
Browsing through this huge store can sometimes be a little overwhelming, so make sure to drop by to their famous sweet potato stall right outside of the store and grab a bite. DON DON DONKI also has a Ready To Eat area where you can refuel and resume shopping anytime you want.
Some food products in Japan are not certified as Halal but over here, Muslim shoppers will finally get the chance to try out some friendly items without any hesitation. There are specialized sections for beef, including a variety of Wagyu beef and Japanese BBQ meats, sourced from Halal-certified factories.
In addition, popular seasonal fruits will be provided and there will be a special section, the “RM5 Ringgit Section” which offers daily necessities.
Given the COVID-19 pandemic, the PPIH Group has begun home delivery services in other countries since December 2020 to address changing demands and shopping patterns. PPIH will launch an e-commerce company in Malaysia, allowing consumers to purchase Japanese goods via official online stores on Shopee and Grab. Customers across the country will also be able to take advantage of the service provided and have their orders delivered to their home.
“We hope our customers will have a pleasant experience as they shop for their favourite Japanese products which are of high quality, unique and reasonably priced,” said Satoshi Machida, President, Pan Pacific Retail Management (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.
PPIH Group will continue to explore business opportunities in Malaysia with a strong distribution network to offer Japanese products at affordable prices to all customers in Malaysia in an effort to increase the recognition and purchase of Japanese products.
So make sure you guys do pay a visit to the new DON DON DONKI at Lot 10 Bukit Bintang, Kuala Lumpur today. Psst, a little birdie told me that there will also be a second outlet opening soon at Tropicana Gardens so better keep a lookout, PJ peeps!
