Mission Foods, a popular tortilla wrap brand has finally introduced a range of mini-sized wraps that are suitable for children. Despite its small size, the taste remains delicious and will definitely leave kids as well as parents excited with the three great flavours and interesting illustrations on the packaging.
Available in three flavours – Tomato, Wholemeal and Original, these wraps come in a resealable package. With a diameter of 5.75 inches, these wraps are perfect for little fingers.
Randall Tan, Brand Manager South Asia, Mission Foods said the new range is just the right size to fill little bellies. “Kids need the right nutrition to grow and it’s sometimes a challenge to get them to eat the right foods. At Mission Foods, we’re parents too, and making healthy food exciting is what we do best,” he said, adding that the wraps contain less sugar and are a source of dietary fibre. “We’ve made the wraps smaller because little people have little hands and little appetites. They are easier for kids to handle and hold, and is the perfect canvas for all their favourite foods,” he added.
The fun and colourful monster illustration on the packaging brings a sense of delight to mealtime. “When food is fun, it goes down much more easily as kids tend to eat with their eyes first. It’s a great way to add a sense of play and experimentation in getting them to make their own meals,” said Randall.
Mission Foods recently launched a campaign called #PerfectForLittleFingers, where they partnered with influencers from the parenting and bento community to share recipes and ideas for using Mini Wraps on their social media platforms. Abang Brian, an alumnus of Le Cordon Bleu and a Masterchef celebrity, also teamed up to make the campaign a success by sharing recipes that parents and children can try at home. Also the owner of the famous Young Chefs Academy, this celebrity chef produced three recipes that turn Mini Wraps into exciting children’s dishes namely Caterpillar Chicken Wrap using Tomato Mini Wrap, Bear Bear Pizza Wrap using Wholemeal Mini Wrap and Crouching Lion Hidden Veggies Japanese Curry Wrap using the Original Mini Wrap.
“With Mini Wraps, you won’t feel guilty asking your kids to play with their food. They’re never too young to get involved in making their own healthy meals. With a little help from Mom and Dad, mealtime will be as fun as playtime!” said Abang Brian.
As part of the campaign, Mission Foods also held a competition for consumers to participate in an exclusive workshop with Abang Brian. Participants will have to submit the most creative monster drawings based on the new Mini Wraps package, drawn by their children. The winners — 20 pair of parents and kids, will have the opportunity to witness the preparation of the Caterpillar Chicken Wrap recipe by Abang Brian and produce the recipe together, then take home their creations along with items from Mission Foods worth RM200 each.
