Who knew watching a live concert through a computer screen would be one of the highlights of my life? It was just last Saturday when I tuned in to Dua Lipa’s Studio 2054, the singer’s first-ever livestream concert and I have to say, it certainly made me wish I was there in person.
In the event where party-goers can’t go to the club, Dua Lipa has certainly brought the club to all party-goers instead with her spectacular Studio 2054 livestream event. Delivering more than expected to all of her friends around the world, the 25-year-old dance-pop sensation really pushed all the boundaries there really is with her fantastic performance.
Filmed in a massive converted warehouse, Dua danced and flaunted her curves through each custom-built set of various themes. There was a 70s style dancefloor with geometric neon lights where she performed ‘Cool’ from her latest album, Future Nostalgia; an old, dubious underground parking lot where she sang her career-establisher ‘New Rules’; a make-believe vintage bordello dressing room featuring Un Día with Latin stars Poor Bunny, J Balvin and Tainy; a small disco, roller skating rink featuring DJ Blessed Madonna and Kylie Minogue; and so on.
The star-studded affair was all about the dazzling dresses and even more guest appearances of Elton John, Angele, FKA Twigs, and her “Prisoner” duet-partner Miley Cyrus. And it was only early this morning when Dua Lipa announced that the virtual concert had garnered five million and counting views from all around the world. Due to high demand, the concert will remain available for $10 until December 6.
I am BEYOND excited to let you know that Studio 2054 had over 5 MILLION viewers globally on Friday night !!! – thank you so much to everyone for tuning in!! I’m also so happy to announce that we’ve kept the show available to watch until Sunday!!! – DUA LIPA
Trust me, once the cameras panned away towards the end, you’re going to want to replay and get transported back to Studio 2054’s universe again.
