Forget the old days where you’d have to go to a photoshop and get your photos printed out. With the Canon Selphy QX10, not only does it have amazing quality for a mobile printer but it’s convenient and super easy to use. This is one printer that I would highly recommend for everyone to get.
The QX10 is much smaller and lighter in comparison with the other Canon printers. Measuring at 102.2×143.3×31.0mm and weighing only approximately at 445g, this palm-sized photo printer comes with a dye-sublimation thermal print and a built-in Lithium-ion battery pack, fitting perfectly into your shoulder bag.
Petite and portable, it is available in four trendy colours: Pink, Green, Black and White.
Users can now get their photos that were shot on a smartphone or camera printed out anytime and anywhere using this compact photo printer. Perfect for adding photos to your scrapbook and more, write a heartfelt message on the photo prints and preserve those memories for a lifetime.
The QX10 produces high-quality images thanks to the dye sublimation process. It is the same process that is used in professional lab printers as well as the earliest Selphy CP 1300 printer.
Covered by a transparent overcoating finish, the prints come with a nice glossy effect that prevents it to deteriorate. It can also last up to 100 years if it is stored properly in an album. In addition to this, the dirt-proof and water-resistant photo paper is also peelable. Meaning you can switch your photo prints into stickers, what a plus point indeed.
The battery-operated printer is quite a simple device as it only sports a power button on the top along with a pair of status lights and a micro USB port. Do note, users won’t be able to connect the printer to their laptops or PCs as the printer is and designed to be controlled over wifi. Instead, the USB port is used to charge the internal battery.
Users would have to load the bottom compartment of the printer with the paper sheets and the separate ink ribbon on a reel to another compartment on the side before printing out.
Moving on, simply download the Selphy Photo Layout app on your smartphone (only runs on iOS and Android devices) and choose your photos. The app offers many options to edit your photo: you can crop, add some text to it, adjust the brightness and also use the set templates, if you’re going for a collage-look.
Not only is it user-friendly, but it has many plus points to it, in terms of image quality, design, longevity and so on.
The Canon Selphy Square QX10 portable printer is sold at RM659 and is available at all Canon stores.
All it takes is 43 seconds to print a photo using the QX10, how fast and convenient. When you purchase the portable printer, it already comes with 20 paper sheets that cost RM59 per pack. Which means, a print costs around RM2.95. Although it leans more to a pricier side, you can’t deny the quality and the fact that you can print photos out anywhere and anytime.
So if you ask me, I definitely do think that the QX10 is worth your money.
