Virtual runs are the new norm, this one’s for a good cause

The year is almost ending however it doesn’t seem like COVID-19 will be going away anytime soon. Since March, we have been following the SOPs and might have gotten used to the new norm. That said, forget running outdoors for marathons as most of ’em are having it indoors, at the comfort of your own home.

Coway Malaysia will be organising a month-long virtual run this November and is poised to be the most exciting one yet. Coway Run 2020: Change The Game allows participants from across the country to join anywhere and anytime from the 1st to the 29th of November.

Any Malaysian citizen or resident who is aged 16 and above can participate in the non-timed 40km run. Involving a ‘level-up’ gaming experience, achievement badges would be given to the runners once they have completed significant milestones throughout the stipulated run period. Altogether, there are four levels: Level 1 (first 3km), Level 2 (10km), Level 3 (20km) and Level 4 (40km).

To kickstart the fun run, a weekly Sunday Boss Fight Rounds will be held from 7am to 11am whereby runners would get the chance to win prizes. Do keep in mind though, only runners who clock in a minimum of 1km during the allotted time frame might stand a chance.

The Coway Run 2020 is also tied to a notable charitable cause − RM10 from each ticket purchased will be channelled to Coway’s Happy Water Project, which funds initiatives to provide clean water and promote good hygiene practices amongst Orang Asli communities nationwide. So, get fitter and healthier while contributing towards a noble mission!

Burn the calories with family and friends by purchasing the special group packages starting from RM35 per head.

Register here before 29 November 2020.
