September Selects: New movies and series on all WarnerMedia’s channels and apps

Life is all about experiences and this September, WarnerMedia’s channels and apps present a selection of new movies and series that will make us tense with anxiety or get teary-eyed with emotion. Laugh out loud or settle in comfortably for a quiet night in while watching exhilarating and entertaining new content on Cartoon Network, Boomerang, HBO GO, HBO, Warner TV and Oh!K this September.

The much-anticipated We Bare Bears: The Movie premieres on 12 September at 11am across various WarnerMedia channels and apps. Join Grizzly, Panda, and Ice Bear as they go on an epic road trip to Canada and tug at heartstrings as they recount their early years! Naturally, they meet new friends along the way and overcome various obstacles in their effort to stay together while evading the diabolical Agent Trout. Can’t get enough of the lovable bears? Catch four seasons of We Bare Bears series on HBO GO.

Other new blockbusters premiere on Saturdays at 9pm on HBO GO and HBO. Joker, starring Joaquin Phoenix who won an Oscar® for portraying Batman’s nemesis in the movie, premieres on 19 September.

Luce, debuting on 26 September, grapples with the thorny issue of political and ethnic violence as a couple who adopted a young boy from war-torn Eritrea discover that the scars of his past are deep-seated and threaten his future.

A slew of brand-new Original content premieres this September on HBO GO. Ridley Scott’s 10-episode HBO Max Original series, Raised by Wolves, premieres on 3 September exclusively on HBO GO. This foreboding, futuristic series centres on two androids tasked to protect a defenceless group of humans.

For something closer to home, the HBO Asia Original film, The Garden of Evening Mists, based on the award-winning novel of the same name, premieres on 13 September at 10pm. This Golden Horse award-winning film draws viewers into the difficult post-war existence of the 1950s, told through the eyes of Malaysian actress Lee Sinje and Taiwanese actress-director-producer Sylvia Chang.

The HBO Original psychological thriller, The Third Day, starring Jude Law and Naomie Harris, debuts the same time as the U.S. on 15 September at 9am. The six-part limited series sees the two leads facing the fiercely traditional natives of a mysterious island off the British coast under different circumstances.

For something more light-hearted, catch Michael Carbonaro’s signature brand of humour and more candid reactions from unsuspecting victims in the sixth season of The Carbonaro Effect from 28 September at 8.10pm on Warner TV.

On Oh!K, renowned celebrity chef Paik Jong Won entices viewers’ taste buds on The Paikfather which premieres on 5 September at 11.45am. Tune in as he teaches home cooks how to prepare delicious meals using simple ingredients.

Also for K-drama fans, Tale of Arang serves up a dose of supernatural and entertaining antics. Premiering on 25 September at 11pm, the series follows the efforts of a government official who agrees to help a virgin ghost seek vengeance for her death.

Animation fans can follow the brave and devoted Pat the Dog on his adventures to save his owner, Lola, from trouble, while fans of DC superheroes can watch young Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Supergirl, Batgirl and Katana join forces against a new school for supervillains in DC Superhero Girls: Super-Villain High premiering at 5 September at 9am and 19 September at 11am respectively on Boomerang.
