Naturally framed with the beauty of limestone, forests and lakes — The Haven is considered nature’s paradise as guests can now live by the primary forest and in the urban city at the same time. Overlooking the 280-million-year-old limestone boulder and natural lake, the resort also offers many attractive facilities that cater to all three generations — the children, parents and grandparents.

The lakeside paradise comes with a clubhouse that has a fully equipped 24-hour gym that offers a spectacular panoramic view of both infinity pool and lake. On top of that, the trademarked 60-metre seahorse-shaped swimming pool doesn’t just come with an outdoor jacuzzi but there’s also a deck that is perfect for yoga.

When it comes to The Haven Spa, the wellness specialists pamper guests with only the finest natural products and essential oils. Guests can also enjoy other clubhouse facilities by playing a game of table tennis, badminton, squash, basketball and tennis. Besides that, there’s also the amphitheatre, a 600-metre jogging track that is surrounded by the natural lake, a private helipad and a children’s playground.

What makes the resort worth visiting is that the resort highlights only the latest renewable technologies and eco-features that are used to provide cost-effective and more sustainable energy.

Reasonably, the available on-site renewable energy and resources are harvested within a sustainable budget to minimize the carbon footprint. For example, The Haven uses the wind turbine to generate lighting for its jogging track whereas its solar panels are used at the car park and common areas. To ensure that the water in the lake is kept at a near-constant level and to save water, the resort utilises rain-harvesting instead.

Additionally, provision is made for the diversion of water from the hillside, such that if there is any disturbance or use of chemicals by inhabitants on the slopes, the contaminated water will be diverted before it reaches the lake.

Ipoh certainly takes pride in their food and it’s no different with The Haven. The poolside bar and restaurant offer the best of local Asian and Western cuisines without the use of MSG. There’s also the indoor restaurant, The Premiere, which is perfect for both private and formal settings.

It certainly looks divine and it’s a place we’d like to visit soon.
