There’s no doubt that we, Malaysians love our food and hotpot is certainly one of them. An amazing pick me up for the rainy days, we can now rejoice our love for hotpot by dining under the stars. Since the past year, many popular hotpot joints have popped up and we reckon this one has got to be one of the best yet.
Sky-Dome Hotpot isn’t just perfect to fulfil those hot pot cravings of yours but it’s matched with a futuristic dome-shaped tent that just ups the romantic ambience. The restaurant is located on the 13th floor of Wisma Trax at Chan Sow Lin with four clear domes spread across the terrace. Each dome is transparent and comes with a geometrical design, reminding us of Genting’s outdoor glamping site.
With an unobstructed view of KL’s skyline, this restaurant isn’t like the other regular buffet hot pot spot you’ve been to. Come to think of it, diners can actually enjoy the nice steaming hotpot meal without breaking a sweat. As there are four domes altogether, the main dining area is situated in the large dome that can fit at least 100 guests. Whereas, the other smaller ones (VIP) are made for private dining.
When it comes to the food, being a hotpot restaurant, the broth is extremely essential. At Sky-Dome, each pot comes with three different broths which are the Coconut Chicken Soup (sweet), Classic Mushroom Soup (savoury) and Spicy Mala Soup. Spoilt for choice, the restaurant doesn’t just offer classic ingredients like Pork Belly Slices, Crispy Beancurd Rolls and Baby Octopus. But there are also plenty of other varieties when it comes to meat and seafood such as the Ebiko Prawn Ball, Bamboo Octopus Paste, Australian Wagyu Beef Slice, Garlic Spring Onion Oyster and more.
This is definitely the place you should go to for a unique date night experience. I know I will.
