Growing up, we certainly have dreamt of becoming a popular rockstar or pop queen like Bon Jovi or Britney Spears. It would really be the best of both worlds if we could live a life like Hannah Montana. Well, Malaysians rest assure you now can. Your bathroom singing days are over and you can finally sing your heart out and impress a panel of judges by participating in this national online singing competition — GoGo Super Voice.
If there’s one thing we learned during this pandemic, it’s having hope. The singing competition is open to all singers from the age of 18 to 35 and can put in their application until July 31 2020. Those early birds before July 15 would only need to pay RM50 as the registration fee whereas after that it would be back to RM60.
Round 1
Those who are interested to participate would have to send in an audition tape between the duration of a minute to three. It can be a minus one or if you can play an instrument, by all means, you can too.
However, do note that all audition tapes should not be tuned and you should not send in a video of yourself performing on stage as your audition tape. In order to submit an entry, all you would have to do is message GoGo Event via Facebook Messenger along with the audition tape and include your name, age and song name in the message.
Each entry will be uploaded to the GoGo Super Voice Facebook Group for jury evaluation.
During the audition session and throughout the competition, contestants would face a panel of star judges (Jyin Poh, Hanz Koay and Sam Siew).
You can also invite friends and fans to join the GoGo Super Voice Facebook Group, and like and share your participation videos to win the GoGo Super Popularity Award.
The first round will end on 01/08/2020, 00:00am and on 08/08/2020, 20 finalists will be announced.
The score will be based on the overall performance of the radio equipment and background (10 points), biting (10 points), intonation (10 points), beat (10 points), emotion (10 points) and dress up (10 points) as the standard. The full score is 60 points.
Round 2: Semifinals
If you are part of the 20 contestants who successfully advanced to the next round, you would be divided into groups of 10. Both days on August 15 and 16, there will be 2 Facebook Live Broadcasts (Go Live) and in each session, 3 contestants (total of 6) would be selected to enter the Finals.
Contestants will only be given 10 minutes each to complete their self-introduction and performance during the session. Keep in mind that, the 10 minutes is including poor network connection as well. In case the connection failure lasts for the whole 10 minutes or even more, the inability to perform will be waived. However, contestants who are late or can’t be reached on the day of the competition will be deemed to automatically abstain from participating.
On another note, if there’s any chaotic situation during the competition, the organizer has the right to immediately terminate the contestant’s performance.

Each of the three judges has a perfect score of 60 points, with a total score of 180 points.
Finals
The last and final round will be held on August 22 at 9pm with a total of 6 finalists. Just like the previous round, contestants will only be given 10 minutes to complete both introduction and performance. Same goes to the connection failure situation and the rest of the T&C’s.
The score will be based on the overall performance of the radio equipment and background (10 points), biting (10 points), intonation (10 points), beat (10 points), emotion (10 points) and dress up (10 points) as the standard. Each of the three judges has a perfect score of 60 points, with a total score of 180 points.
In the end, participants must absolutely respect the final rating and decision of the organizing authority, while abiding by the competition regulations and rules.

Quick T&C’s
-This competition is limited to Malaysian citizens, 18 to 35 years old.
-All contract singers, champion singers in any competition and top three in any large competitions are not allowed to participate.
-Contestants can only perform in solo, no duet (accompaniment allowed).
-GOGO Super Voice will invite celebrities in the music industry to be judges. The judgment of the jury is the final decision, and contestants must not object.
-Contestants can only participate in the competition through Chinese, Cantonese and English songs. Contestants must bring their own accompaniment music, and the entire song can not exceed five minutes.
-It is prohibited to include vulgar or explicit sex songs. Contestants are prohibited from using obscene, offensive, pornographic or other forms of inappropriate behaviour or gestures in performances, including those that quote or depict violence, nudity or explicitness. Those who are not in the spirit of the game or do not meet the GoGo Super Voice standard for any reason will be decided by the GoGo Super Voice and will be disqualified from the game.
-All contestants are obliged to respect intellectual property rights. GoGo Super Voice is not responsible for any copyright disputes about original songs.
-GoGo Super Voice has the right to use all videos/photos sent by the contestants for advertising and promotional purposes.
-All payments are non-refundable. A registered contestant cannot be replaced by another contestant as a representative.
-Contestants must submit the recorded work within 3 days of registration. The video must be sent to GoGo Event FB Messenger, and indicate the name, age and song name of the contestant.
-Contestants cannot be contacted on the day of the semi-finals and the finals or if they are late, they will be considered as automatic abstentions.
-In case of any chaos at the competition site, the organizer has the right to immediately terminate the performance of the contestants.
-All contestants absolutely respect the final rating and decision of the organizing authority and abide by the competition regulations and rules.
-The organizer has the right to change the competition method.
-The above terms and conditions, the organizer has the right to add or delete them.
