M’sians, you can now express yourself using OREO cookies

For over fifty years, OREO, a biscuit brand under Mondelēz International has inspired delightful snacking moments among Malaysians with its iconic cookie sandwich. To ‘add character’ to its cookies, OREO today announces the release of its limited-edition embossed OREO, featuring alphabets and emojis imprinted on the cookie wafers in place of the standard Oreo marking. Set to spark a playful snacking experience, the cookies will allow consumers to use the embossed cookies to express themselves to each other and ‘Say It With Oreo’, beyond the usual spoken words and written text.


The brand also announces the kick-off of its #SayItWithOREO nationwide campaign. Featuring a slew of consumer contests and activities, the campaign is aimed at uncovering the creative and playful imagination of Malaysians through photo contest, interactive word game and consumer activations. Happening from 1 June to 31 August 2020, the contests are open to Malaysians over the age of 18 and offers prizes worth up to RM100,000.


In inspiring Malaysians to ‘Say It With Oreo’, the campaign invites the public to post their creative photos taken with the embossed OREO cookies, along with the hashtag #SayItWithOREOMY on Facebook or Instagram. Whether it is a doodle with OREO as the central piece, making shapes on the cream, or transforming the cookies into the fashionable item, the most original posts will stand a chance to win cash prizes from OREO. With the World Emoji Day happening on 17 July 2020, the embossed OREO is also the perfect snack to showcase and commemorate our love for the colourful and whimsical emoji characters.


As an additional treat to OREO fans, the #SayItWithOREO Mini Game at www.sayitwithoreo.com offers participants a unique opportunity to collect points through the online word guessing game featuring the embossed OREO cookies. The points collected can be used to redeem exclusive limited-edition OREO merchandise. Among the exciting prizes up for grabs are OREO hoodies, backpacks, and cushy bean bags.


The limited-edition OREO is available in original and chocolate flavour at all leading retailer, convenience, and online stores including Giant, Mydin, AEON, and Lazada in the following packaging: 133 gram single pack @ RRP RM3.30 and
264.6 gram multipack @ RRP RM5.89.
