If not now, then when? The whole world is under lockdown and the chances of you playing games during this stay at home period are pretty high. We have curated a list of games that are popular among the youngsters and even the adults. Safe to say, we won’t be needing social distancing if we’re just playing games.

Final Fantasy VII Deluxe Edition

Final Fantasy has already been around for quite some time and with this latest deluxe edition, you can expect a spectacular re-imagining of this visionary game. It will start in the setting of the eclectic city of Midgar where you would come across an anti-Shinra organization called the Avalanche. By stepping up their resistance, one of their former members would turn mercenary and that’s when your mission will commence.

Dota 2

Another epic game where you’d come across a huge number of players on a daily basis battling it out to destroy the enemy’s ancient building. For the unfamiliar, this is the biggest building inside of your own base and by doing so, your team will the game. This game has got to be one of the biggest titles in all of esports and fans who have been playing since their college days can finally use this free time at home to bring back some fond memories.

Fortnite was launched back in 2017 and is a Battle Royale game. The main goal for a player is to remain alive at all times and by being safe whenever there’s an approaching storm. To do so, players would need to fight with whatever they find such as iron, wood or brick as well as putting the supplies to good use to help them survive. It’s not a game with blood or any of the usual gory stuff we find in games these days.

League of Legends

Being a team-based strategy game, League of Legends consists of two teams of five powerful champions with a mission to destroy the enemy’s towers. The games with many different game modes which are  Dominion, 5v5, 3v3, Co-op and Custom Games. Dominion is more about capturing points and not allowing your enemy to ’em. Whereas, 5v5, 3v3 is when you will be playing against other players and by playing a chosen champion with 4/2 other teams and their champions. Co-op is similar to the previous mode however, you would come to face bots instead of real players. Lastly, the custom game is the same as the other modes except for this time you’ll be setting up the rules.

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive

This pioneered team-based action gameplay was launched approximately in the year 1999. It’s about two teams competing in multiple rounds with a mission. The objective-based game comes with the goal of winning enough rounds so you and your team can win the match. With game modes like Competitive, Wingman, Casual, Deathmatch, Arms Race, Demolition and Flying Scoutsman, there are so many things you can do with Counter-Strike.

Another hottest game among enthusiastic gamers. This is a player versus player shooter game as they are at least a hundred players fighting in a battle royale. In short, your main objective of the game is to stay alive and be the last man standing during the deathmatch. You can choose to battle it out as a lone ranger, with a partner or a team consisting up to four people.

It’s all fun and games until…

Playing games is exciting but it can kill the fun when you don’t have the right device. Especially when the screen is too small or the graphics aren’t vivid enough. It can also be about the audio system being horrible even when you’re playing with headphones. The best thing to ever do is to invest on a good computer monitor or better yet, a projector. Imagine what would it be like if you could turn your whole room wall into gameplay?

With the XG2405, users can expect a seamless gaming experience with the AMD FreeSync technology as it synchronises your monitor’s refresh rate to your graphics card by eliminating the common problem of screen tearing. It can also elevate your experience with its precise blend of speed, hyper-responsive control and vivid and vibrant IPS colours. Paired up with 144Hz and a 1ms response time, this 24” SuperClear® IPS panel gaming monitor provides gamers with a smooth and crisp graphics and helps decrease motion blur as well as smearing from fast-moving objects with its precise motion clarity. What’s even interesting is that the panel can be tilted so in whatever way you’re sitting, you’ll be able to adjust it to your suited view.

Speaking about turning the whole wall into gameplay, the 4K LED Projector, ViewSonic X10-4K can bring the cinematic, or in this case, the gaming experience to a whole ‘nother level. You can choose to view it on any surface and it will remain clear and vivid. Speaking about projectors, you can also consider ViewSonic’s M1+ Smart Portable LED Projector. The whole reason why you should is that this ultra-portable WVGA LED projector is super lightweight as it weighs less than a kilogram. Meaning, you can carry it with you easily without any hassle. Plus, if you ever want a breath of fresh air after cooping up in that room of yours, you can always transport the gameplay to the living room or any other rooms of your choice. Also, it is absolutely worth noting that it comes with a dual Harman Kardon Bluetooth speakers, delivering the extra crisp and clear sound of the game. Besides WiFi connectivity, you can stream content using a MicroSD card slot, USB Type-A, and USB Type-C connections as well.

Last but not least, the XG240R immediately attracts its users with ELITE RGB, its one-of-a-kind RGB accent decent design that is on the back of the monitor. It doesn’t just add a prismatic glow to your existing RGB peripheral setup but it also radiates light in your gaming environment. One thing worth noting is that it comes with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms response, similar to the previous monitor. As it is fully loaded with features as well as customisable settings, this 24’’ gaming monitor equipped with ELITE RGB is made for the modern-day competitive gaming environment. Also, the XG240R comes with excellent elite game modes as it comes with specialised presets, each suited for any type of gaming scenario. Last but not least, gamers can finally spot their enemies easily and it is all thanks to its massive 22-level black stabilisation setting.
