If there wasn’t enough creepy going around, Malaysia’s favourite comedy veteran, Phoon Chi Ho, returns to perform his hit stand-up special ‘Creepy’ one last time at PJ Live Arts on the 14th of March 2020 at 8pm. On the back of the success of Malaysian Association of Chinese Comedians’ (MACC) ‘The Goodbye Tour’, and selling out theatres in the first round of his special ‘Creep’ in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Labuan and Kota Kinabalu, he returns yet again to answer his fans cries for an encore.
Chi Ho fans can expect an hour-long compilation of Chi Ho’s favourite personal stories, both past and recent, wrapped with a slice of in-your-face, no-holds-barred style of delivery, with an icing of edgy comedy that will leave them begging for more. If you thought the phrase, “Suck my kukuciao Singapore!” was out of left field, then strap yourselves in for ‘Creepy Again’.
“This will be the last run of my special ‘Creepy’ and while it is an encore performance, I will be mixing it up with new material, which will make it a fun experience for those who have watched it, and for those who have not,” said Chi Ho.
Aside from the content of the show, this time around, Chi Ho partners with local comedy producers, Goodtimes Ticketing. Known more for producing comedy shows with South-Indian comedians, the local producers continue to diversify their event portfolio by working with local comedians including Prakash Daniel, Kavin Jay, and now Chi Ho.
“Malaysia’s comedy scene is no longer what it was 10 to 15 years ago. Our comedians have landed specials on Netflix, sold out shows in various cities, and it’s only going to get better. Veterans like Chi Ho have blazed a trail for this to happen and as young producers, we want to learn from entertainers like him and continue our growth as a brand,” said Vinodh Menon, Founder & CEO of Goodtimes Ticketing Sdn Bhd.
Vinodh added, “It’s a privilege to work with Chi Ho, and we were over the moon when he agreed to work with us. It’s going to be a great show, as it always is with Chi Ho, and we look forward to giving comedy lovers another event to remember.”
