Spend less this Valentine’s Day with these DIY gifts

by Andrea Tay

“L is for the way you look at me, O is for the only one I see, V is very very extraordinary, E is even more than anyone I could love…”

This lovely song by Michael Buble indicates that the season of love is just around the corner. It doesn’t matter whether you are single, have a crush on someone or you are already attached to someone — life is all about turning something plain into something more meaningful. It is no doubt that we all love unexpected surprises in life, the adrenaline rush we tend to get is like fireworks exploding in the dark sky.

Counting down the days to Valentine’s day, you must be thrilled to prepare a special surprise for your loved ones. However, it might be difficult to find a gift that portrays your love and sincerity in one. Scratch buying overrated gifts and make one instead.

It might be a little work but it’s the thought and effort that matters. Then again just like the saying, it is the littlest things that matter the most.

Remember those good ol’ days when slime used to be the IT thing. Well, slime is not only for kids or a pre-historic trend. You can create your own slime piece and place it into a heart-shaped container. So when they open it up, it’ll reflect the idea of your heart-melting for them.  Plus, it can act as a stress ball as well.
