Music festivals are one of the most happening events that many people from east to west, south to the north all gathered to experience the power of music. Whether if you’re a fan of electronic dance music, tribal music or just finding for an event to dance your heart out, the remaining six months of 2019 has got you covered.

But before that, we have to talk about the success of the iconic Rainforest World Music Festival (RWMF). About 23 thousand people festival-goers dwell in the richness of diverse music genres, cultures and heritage from July 12 to 14, 2019. A total of 100 performers belonging to 39 music groups from 20 countries took part in the three-day event.

Plus, the recent Good Vibes Festival 2019 comes to a stunning crowd of over 20,000 music-lovers from across the world far and wide converged for the fifth edition of #GVF2019, in witnessing the stellar lineup of international and Malaysian acts, spread out over three stages. Artist including, Yuna, Rae Sremmurd, Joji, Daniel Caesar, RUSS and many more. The event was held in The Ranch @ Gohtong Jaya in Genting Highlands on 20 and 21 July 2019.
Besides the successful event of RWMF and GVF 2019, here are other upcoming music festivals/ events all of you can enjoy and make memories;
1. Publika Jazz Fest
The largest and best jazz festival in Malaysia, Publika Jazz is back for its 8th edition on 23 & 24 August 2019. This edition sees the regular format of a two-day line-up of gigs involving 18 bands by both local and international artists, which will happen simultaneously at The Square, Black Box, The Bee and a jam session at The Social. You have the likes of Gabriel Lynch, Aina Abdul, JO, Aseana Percussion Unit and many more that are set to sway the jazz fans.

2. Wkndfest
Wkndfest is an up and coming event organiser that aims to reignite the ripple effect in Malaysia’s live music scene starting with giving Malaysians the ultimate music experience this August. It comes with the sole purpose of bringing together music lovers from all around Malaysia to enjoy live music events. For Wkndfest Vol 1 will feature 6 KPOP acts in a 6-hour music festival like iKON, Tiffany Young, (G)I-DLE, Momoland, Mamamoo, and Vav. There will be 3 Wkndfest series by 2020 focusing on K-Pop, Hip Hop and Pop.

3. Kuching Waterfront Jazz Fest
The first of its kind outdoor jazz festival overlooking the majestic Sarawak River, the Kuching Waterfront Jazz Festival saw a lineup of regional and international bands and solo acts. Apart from the jazz performances by the world-class musicians, the Kuching Waterfront Jazz (KWJF) festival features a bazaar comprising arts and craft, including food and beverage vendors. The bazaar gives festival-goers a more holistic experience, especially visitors to Sarawak, where they will be able to purchase local Sarawak wares and food.

4. It’s The Ship

Perhaps one of the most happening parties that can ever happen in a cruise, this time it’s back where you sail the high seas from Singapore and back onboard a luxurious cruise ship with non-stop music, thrilling side activities and crazy pop up parties. Regarded as one of Asia’s Largest Festival at Sea, be a part of this exciting place and experience a once in a lifetime music festival.

5. Urbanscapes

Urbanscapes is one of the longest-running creative arts festivals in Malaysia. Since its inception 16 years ago, the aim of Urbanscapes has always been to bring together Malaysian creative communities from the fields of music, the arts, design, film and other creative disciplines. The festival has grown leaps and bounds to become internationally known and attended. The previous artist that came was Khalid, Tame Impala, and Rudimental.
