Samsung Malaysia Electronics (Samsung) recently held an epic star-studded ‘Era of Live’ party to mark the official launch of its next-generation Galaxy A smartphone series. Unveiling the Galaxy A50 and A30 in style, substance and spontaneity, the event was graced with a special appearance and live performance by singer-songwriter Calum Scott, one of UK’s brightest stars since he rose to fame on the 2015 season of Britain’s Got Talent.
Set to be a game changer in the mid-range category, both the Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A30 pack a punch in design, features and pricing to bring innovation that matters to today’s connected consumers, especially the young millennials and Generation Z users.

The camera in both models consists of a 123-degree ultra-wide lens that captures life-size videos the way the eyes would see them. It also comes ready with the scene optimizer feature that automatically recognizes and enhances photos using Artificial Intelligence to produce the best shots.
Apart from the amazing camera, the new Galaxy A50 and A30 also boast the convenience of having long-lasting battery life with a stellar 4,000mAh capacity and fast-charging support. Equipped with Samsung’s advanced Super AMOLED (6.4”) FHD+ Infinity-U Display, both models stand out with an incredible degree of colour clarity and a nearly bezel-less edge-to-edge display for the more immersive and uninterrupted viewing experience.
Creating an epic Galaxy A experience
With the improved series, Samsung is set to spark a new ‘Era of Live’ in a move to embrace a world that is shaped by real-time visual, interaction and experience. It aims to reach out to Malaysians across the nation through a unique content collaboration with E! Media Prima Television Networks, a brand new digital-first platform that provides the local edition of E! News.
Together with E! Media Prima Television Networks, Samsung engaged a team of young ambassadors in creating a movement to inspire a positive lifestyle in a fun and entertaining way. Dubbed the A- Squad, the team consists of local personalities and influencers, led by rising teenage pop-star Ismail Izzani; singer and actress Nabila Razali and Haqiem Rusli who started a singing career since his victory on TV9’s Idola Kecil in 2008.
The A-Squad had the opportunity to share an evening with Calum Scott at the ‘Era of Live’ party, where Ismail, Nabila and Haqiem expressed how the Galaxy A50 and A30 perfectly match their day-to-day mobile lifestyle.
