Going on a date can be a pretty daunting yet exciting chapter of life for an individual to go through. It’s the butterflies in your stomach before the date and anticipating for an awesome time with your date. I think the ladies can agree with me that the worst thing about going on a date is thinking of what to wear. You don’t want to overdress nor feel uncomfortable having to deal with a wardrobe malfunction. It’s also the point where you’ll feel like you don’t want to wear too simple as well. Ugh, the struggles, right?
Hopefully, with these few tips in mind, you’ll be able to let an outfit to be the least of your worries.
Denim
When in doubt, wear denim
You can’t go wrong with jeans. It’s the most casual yet elegant way of not dressing up too much but looking rugged as hell too. It’s also important to note that the jeans you’re going to wear plays a huge part too. If you’re going to be wearing a loose blouse, skinny jeans would be a perfect fit. Throw in walkable high heels while you’re in it too because it’s never fun having to hurt your feet with heels that’ll ruin your mood for the whole day.
Classic LBD
“One is never over-dressed or underdressed with a little black dress” -Karl Lagerfeld
Yes, that’s right. If you’re tirelessly looking for the ultimate comfort and not stand out way too much outfit for your date, the classic little black dress never fails to disappoint. To spice it all up, accessorizing is the next best thing because of black suits anything. From a scarf, metallic colours, and prints are all suited to a date night. Plus, getting a belt in it breaks up the dress and highlights your waist to create an hourglass shape—which looks great on nearly everyone!
Lipstick
Lipstick can’t solve all problems, but it’s a pretty great start
With every pale looking face, there’s always lipstick to change it all up in terms of impression. A lipstick can go a long way towards making a bold statement and showing confidence. Red lips? Absolutely wicked!
Sundresses
Life is too short to wear boring dresses
Want to look hip, cute, and fun? Sundress is the simplest solution for you. It shows personality and colour to your outfit. Your date, no doubt would be smitten by that happy-go-lucky trait. To ensure you don’t have a blister from all that sandal or heels, donning sneakers would be the next best thing and it’s never a wrong fashion statement.
Popping Colours
Sometimes all you need is a little splash of colour
Do you want to stand out in your date? Wear bright, sparkly colours for your date will only leave you memorable for the rest of the day. Of course, there’s a limit as to how popping you can look. Don’t dress yourself up to the point you look like a Christmas tree. If you’re wearing a neon skirt, be sure to dial the colour down on the blouse.
Last but not least, this has to be the most important thing to wear while you’re on a date, which is a smile. Be yourself and have a great date! 🙂
