Stop your tracks and crank it up to Korean hip-hop this coming November 2nd and 3rd because they are coming to Kuala Lumpur! All of this artist are under Hi-Lite Records.
Before we get into details of the concert, let’s familiarize ourselves with this successful hip-hop label. Founded by Paloalto, in 2010 after leaving his former label, Jungle Entertainment. The artists from Hi-Lite Records that are set to perform and rocked the stage comprises from Paloalto, G2, Huckleberry P, Sway D, and YunB.
This Korean label record boasts in focusing more on their music rather than the visual aspects of it. Each of them brings individual creativity but still come together as one of the most prominent hip-hop labels in Korea.
Paloalto
A legendary name in the Korean hip-hop scene that debuted in 2005 and has been actively releasing material since then. He founded Hi-Lite Records and despite the merge with CJ E&M, he still upholds the virtue of letting his artists do the music they please. Besides that, Paloalto is also actively performing as a DJ.
Huckleberry P
Huckleberry P is considered as South Korea’s most gifted freestyle rapper. He is also half of the hip-hop unit Pinodyne with the producer Soulfish.
G2
He was discovered by Okasian, a Korean-American rapper and singer and eventually landed a collaborative album with Keith Ape in 2014 called “Project: Brainwash”, a project that landed him into the Hi-Lite Record family.
SwayD
Hailing from Busan, SwayD got his popularity after constantly releasing songs of his own on his Soundcloud, doing collaborations with other Busan-based artists. He got signed onto Hi-Lite in 2016.
Reddy
Though he may have started out in the scene later than his peers, he has gotten a head start as being one of the members of the crew Cohort. He released singles but it wasn’t until his appearance in Show me The Money that he gained a bigger following. Other than that, he is also a model.
YunB
Grew up in America, YunB is a rapper and producer that works closely with musician friends from both the USA and Japan. In 2016, he joined Hi-Lite and has released a string of singles.
There is also going to be a Meet & Greet session will be held at 8 pm on Nov 2nd at BB Park. Free entrance for all.

The “Hi-Life in Kuala Lumpur 2018” will take place at ENVY Nightlife KL, kicking off at 10.30pm with the after party running until 5am. It’s only a small venue holding 1,000 people but the event organisers want the show to be intimate and casual and the rappers will be mixing and engaging with the audience throughout the night.
