This iconic place is a historic gold mining town in Otago, south region of the South Island of New Zealand. It’s a charming and quirky nestled below the beautiful peaks that surround the sparkling Arrow River. Being just 20 mins away from the airport, it’s good to stay in this quiet town with warm and friendly people to kick start our journey.
Skyline Queenstown
The main attraction lies in the journey of the gondola to a panoramic restaurants/bar, performance and all accompanied by the pristine view of the mountains. I can say how happy I am to have witnessed the snowy mountains. What an experience that was for me.
The Remarkables Skiifield, Queenstown
There is no fun up in the mountains without skiing. Everyone who comes here is a must activity. You can create good memories for a long time too.
Lake Wanaka
Lake Wanaka and Lake Hayes
Lake Wanaka is located in the stunning alps of the South Island in New Zealand. It attracts visitors from all around the world with its natural beauty from Wanaka’s lakes, making it the perfect place for the ultimate base for outdoor activities. As for Lake Hayes, located close to the town of Arrowtown and Queenstown, attracts walkers, runners and cyclists who love the natural beauty of the area. The reflective lake offers panoramic views of the surrounding mountains that are perfect to take your camera out and snap away.
Glenorchy, New Zealand
Just 45 minutes from Queenstown, Glenorchy is nestled on the northern shores of Lake Wakatipu and is the gateway to hiking trails and some of the Lord of the Rings movie magic. I also got to meet with my current favourite furry friend, an alpaca. They were so gentle and friendly towards the visitors there too. Glenorchy is certainly a place that needs to be seen at least once in your life.

Set on the shores of crystal clear Lake Wakatipu, the natural beauty and the unique energy of the region create the perfect backdrop for a holiday full of adventure, discovery and rejuvenation. This town has certainly captured my heart and will always be my first love.
