FASHIONVALET and Boost Make a Meaningful Fashion Statement

by Nicolas See Tho

To cap off a successful Ramadhan/Hari Raya season for FashionValet, the fashion e-commerce giant have partnered with Boost, the digital mobile e-wallet app developed by Axiata Digital Services Sdn. Bhd. on a charity-centred initiative. No strangers to each other, both companies have previously joined forces, whereby any purchase at any one of FashionValet’s physical stores with a minimum of RM200 made using Boost, will receive cash back of RM20! For the month of Syawal, both FashionValet and Boost are contributing towards Pusat Jagaan Emas Sri Mesra (“Mesra Home”), a home for single elderly women.

Mesra Home was established in 2013 by Razali Mohamad and his wife, Faezah Ali. Initially, the home required a fee for any senior citizen who resided there, but upon receiving many requests from those with financial difficulties, Faezah decided to open the home to anyone who needed help. Many of the women who are currently at Mesra Home are very poor and both Founders have said that they cannot bear to see them without a family, financial aid or proper healthcare.

With a soft spot for the elderly, the home has tugged the heartstrings of FashionValet and Boost, which is why they are running this campaign. “Make a meaningful fashion statement” is the slogan. Similar to their initial partnership, make a purchase using Boost at any physical FashionValet outlet whereby 10% of the total bill will be donated to the said charity home above. The campaign will run till the 15th of July 2018.

The campaign kicks off today with a visit from FashionValet and Boost representatives to Mesra Home not only for buka puasa with the residents but to present them with a cash donation too.

Boost is a leading homegrown e-wallet application with over 2.4million users with online and offline merchants located in over 16,000 touch points. Boost aims to revolutionise the way Malaysian consumers transact by creating a seamless payment experience without cash or cards. In the spirit of Ramadhan and Syawal, Boost jumped in on the festivity bandwagon with Ramadhan promotions available at various major Boost merchants throughout the festive period, including FashionValet.

“We are honoured to be partnering with FashionValet on this rewarding and humbling initiative. This partnership with FashionValet represents the first corporate social responsibility activity where we encourage our users to shop for a worthy cause. Giving back to the community has always been something we wanted to do and we’re glad that we got the opportunity to do so with FashionValet. Since the start of our partnership, we’ve experienced a significant increase in the number of users, resulting in the growth of our business. With FashionValet’s continued support, we hope to continue educating consumers on the benefits of Boost and how transacting in a cashless and cardless world can elevate their online shopping experience,” said Christopher Tiffin, Chief Executive Officer of Boost.

With this campaign, FashionValet and Boost hope they will be able to make a big impact in the lives of the women at Mesra Home. They also hope customers who shop with FashionValet will donate generously towards the cause. Together let’s make a meaningful fashion statement!
