When you are competing on the highest levels of gaming, every pixel matters and in order to keep your opponents in check, you have to bring forth your A-game to each match. That’s why this month, we have with us the BenQ XL2546 Esports gaming monitor and we took it for a spin to see how well it does.
Design and usage
From the outset, the gaming monitor looks like just a basic gaming monitor with a screen estate of 24.5-inch and it supports up to 240Hz. It is height adjustable as well as fully rotational allowing you to set the monitor at any angle you need. It comes with HDMI, DisplayPort and DVI-DL ports for maximum output while it can also support up to three USB 3.0 ports and one upstream USB port.
As do most BenQ monitors, it comes with an easy access portable menu whereby you can store up to 3 different profile for different needs. Additionally, the monitor also comes with a pair of shields to help you keep a focus on your games without getting distracted by your surroundings.
Performance
There is no meaning to a gaming monitor if we do not test it on various games, and we tested it on games such as PUBG, League of Legends and Fallout 4, whereby we went through each of its uniques features accordingly. The ZOWIE native 240Hz provided us with amazing fluid fast motion without a delay in frames. During games which have plenty of blind spots due to darkness, the black equalizer made it feel like we were cheating as we detected enemies easier than before. One of the cool features on this monitor is the colour vibrancy feature which lets us set the colour performance we need for different games.
Should you not be able to figure out which setting works best for your games, turn on Game Mode and let the monitor do that for you by optimizing the visuals with the different available game modes.
Conclusion
So if you are in the market for some serious gaming equipment, then pair your expensive graphics cards with the BenQ XL 2546 Esports Monitor as it will improve your gameplay and experience drastically.
