After a long wait, the new Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ have finally arrived on our shores, and with it, Samsung has shown its continued dedication to innovation and strive to expand the limitations of technology. These new flagship devices were recently shown at the Mobile World Conference whereby it had received over 30 awards, including “Best New Connected Device” and “Best Mobile VR or AR”.
The Galaxy S9 and S9+ were inspired by today’s way of communicating on the social media landscape. Self-expression has evolved and gone are the days whereby consumers texted each other to convey their thoughts, instead, now they use images, videos and emojis. Samsung has always been at the forefront in producing amazing smartphone cameras, but as a tech company known to push past boundaries and also a deep commitment to listening to our consumers, we took our latest smartphones to another level of redesigning and upgrading the camera,” said KM Liew, Head of IT and Mobile business, Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
The new S9 and S9+ come with cameras that put the consumer’s needs in mind, with a SuperSpeed Dual Pixel sensor with dedicated processing power and memory to take high-quality shots. DxOMark, the trusted industry standard for camera and lens image quality measurements has recognized this and has given Samsung’s reimagined camera its highest score yet for combined photo and video rating in a smartphone camera.

The smartphone comes with a Dual Aperture F1.5/F2.4 camera which automatically adjusts to its lighting by letting in more light through its greater aperture lens, or switching to its lower aperture lens under bright light, ensuring the pictures are clear and crisp. Aside from that, the popular dual camera setup is made available via the Galaxy S9+ as well, allowing users to continue shooting professional portrait shots with the phone’s Live focus mode.

Additionally, the device also makes the world smarter with Bixby being integrated into the camera, whereby it can translate foreign languages and currencies instantly by image, thus providing you with useful information about your surroundings and so much more.

Entertainment-wise Samsung has created a device which provides premium sound experiences with stereo speakers tuned by AKG while the Galaxy S9 and S9+ also support Dolby Atmos, which gives the atmospheric 360 degrees cinematic sound experience.
