KL, I Love You is a part of the global Cities Of Love franchise which compiles a collective of motion pictures which started with its first project, Paris, je’taime, and New York, I Love You. Since then, the project has grown into a global community and has seen its impact in over 20 cities and counting.

“For KL, I Love You, Dain Said, a renowned local writer and director was appointed as the Cities of Love Manager, and he spoke plenty about the labour of love he would give to the project during his opening speech at 2 Hang Kasturi yesterday. ” The Cities Of Love movement is all about cultivating a critical mass of practitioners and audiences alike whose love will transform Kuala Lumpur. Embracing the differences and empowering KL-ites to take back their city”he said.

With the art of storytelling, KL, I Love You, will be a positive highlight on the collective experiences on our renowned city, with urban spaces, migration & an amalgamation of different cultures and religion complemented by our fascination towards the arcane and superstitious, hemmed with stories of love & relationships and embraced by the young people of this generation.

This initiative will help bring our creative practices together to tell stories across different media platforms as well as through events. With cooperation from brands, partners and stakeholders, KL I Love You encourages any and all participation from groups that are invested in making Kuala Lumpur a better place.
