As if prepared for the holidays, Disney dropped a teaser trailer for The Nutcracker And The Four Realms, the studio’s live-action retelling of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s 1816 story The Nutcracker And The Mouse King.
However, the legends have a dark side in this Disney movie.
The story follows Clara whose only wish is to get hold of a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift from her late mother. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s annual holiday party leads her to the coveted key — which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. There, Clara encounters a soldier named Philip, a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Philip must strive to keep balance the harmony to the unstable world.
Directed by Lasse Hallstrom and produced by Mark Gordon, the fairy tale stars Mackenzie Foy, Keira Knightley, Morgan Freeman, Matthew Macfadyen, Helen Mirren and more.
The teaser brought fans anticipating for October 2018 – release month of the movie. Some fans complimented how this movie is like an art on its own.
