News of Quentin Tarantino taking over the reigns of Star Trek has been burning like wildfire, and if there is one thing we know Tarantino movies do, is that they love to push boundaries. Hence, one of the latest news from Hollywood is that Quentin Tarantino had demanded that it be rated R, and has since pitched the idea to Paramount.
J.J Abrams who had directed two Star Trek films will be helming the role of producer and is currently helping Tarantino search for writers for this ambitious new movie. Fans wondering what the movie would be like will be pleased to hear that the movie will be in essence the way Tarantino movies has always been, witty dialogue, violence, blood, gore and lots of cursing.
Additionally, one of the greats from the Star Trek loredom, Patrick Stewart or better known as Jean Luq Picard, has voiced an interest in returning to the silver screen. Here is what he said, when citing his interest in being apart of a Tarantino film.
“One of my dreams is to work with Tarantino. I admire his work so much, and to be in a Tarantino film would give me so much satisfaction. So, if he is going to direct something to do with ‘Star Trek’ and there was the possibility of dear old Jean-Luc showing up again and doing that for Mr. Tarantino, I would embrace it.”
It looks like this movie is going to be the next big hype after Star Wars and we can already envision an amazing verbal sparring session between Jean Luq Picard and hopefully Samuel L Jackson as Q. So what are your 2Cents on this news?
