Blitzone Cybercafe is a familiar name for everyone, especially if you’re an eSports enthusiast. With the latest addition in Utropolis Mall, the company currently has a total of eight outlets scattered across different parts of Klang Valley and Kuala Lumpur. The new branch officially opened to the public on 1 May 2017 and is also the first Blitzone eSports Cybercafé to have opened in a shopping mall.
Earlier this September, Blitzone eSports Cybercafé hosted and is the main sponsor for the final competition for DOTA2 League 2017. The event included freebies, vouchers and lucky draw prizes.
The moment we walked in for a visit, we were a little taken aback. The spacious waiting area gives a feel of classiness and elegance because of the quiet environment, only accompanied by a non-interruptive background music. We were greeted at the counter by a friendly staff who proceeded to further explain the entry fees to us.
The normal rate is RM3 per hour if you’re a non-member, but there are various promotional rate based on the hours you will be spending there, and it’s even cheaper when you sign up as a member! Customers can opt for a membership card with a payment of RM 20 and will be provided with a login identification which enables them to log into any Blitzone cybercafé outlets. You don’t have to worry about hunger pangs while you’re gaming away for hours, snacks and other Malaysian food like nasi lemak and fried kuey teow are served here too!

Just like the modern interior of the cafe itself, the centre also ensures their gaming equipments are equipped with the latest hardwares and technology. “With the first AMD Ryzen gaming equipment and processor in Blitzone, customers love the newest technology we have to offer here for their entertainment,” said Hugo Phua, one of the partners at Blitzone. The centre provides 72 personal computers with gaming headset by Ducky mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse – excellent for gaming and accurate typing experience. Each computer comes with an AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Processor – 27-inch AOC Premium LED monitor – MSI AM4 Gaming Motherboard – 8GB RAM and a Zotax GTX 1050 4GB GPU. The latest GTX 10 Series provides seamless gaming with cinematic viewing in 4K, HDR, and beyond.
To maintain its cleanliness and ensure maximum comfort for everyone, certain restrictions are regulated and applicable to anyone who walks into the cybercafé. Smoking, gambling, and taking illegal drugs are highly prohibited. If caught, the customer will be given a warning or banned from coming in the cyber café as the last resort, depending on the seriousness of the offence.
