We often hear the police nabbing criminals and defeating bad guys, we’d imagine these law enforcement officers wouldn’t think twice while picking up a small, stray turtle, even if it happens to be a snapping turtle that could bite your hand off.
You’re dead wrong. As this video proves, a stray turtle can even unnerve a police officer. We’ll give you a challenge – don’t laugh when you watch the video!

The animal kingdom is full of wonderful and mysterious beings. And sometimes when they are taken out of their natural habitat, some of the seemingly docile creatures can be quite dangerous. Turtles aren’t really known for being extremely hostile, with their infamous slow movement and delayed reactions. But this kind – a snapping turtle – would snap your hand off if you manage to get it upset and have your fingers close to its beak.
Which explains the caution this US police officer was exercising while attempting to pick up this stray turtle so that it could be returned to the nearby lake. One would think such a task would be a cakewalk for a cop, whose job entails tackling dangerous people and managing life-threatening situations.
He seemed so scared of handling the stray turtle in the video, resulting in it being viral when it’s only been up two days ago. The cop seems overly cautious and scared to hold the amphibian, and keeps jumping every time the animal moves even an inch.

I guess even the big guys have their fears, no matter how ridiculous they may be. I am completely fine with lizards for example. Back when I was a kid, I would even purposely stress geckos out so they would detach their tails! These tails would continue moving for a few minutes or so after that. I was mean, I know. But it’s all in the past now.
HOWEVER, I’d rather sacrifice a limb than being asked to go anywhere near insects, even BUTTERFLIES. People say they’re pretty, but all I can see are creepy, vivid colours. The only insects I could stand are mosquitoes and flies. If I see any other even a metre away, I’ll run the opposite direction screaming my head off.
