The Malaysian tech market can now rejoice with the launch of four new computers from Acer. The line-up comprises of the Acer Aspire GX281 – a Ryzen equipped computer, the light-weight Acer Swift 1 which completes the Swift series, and the addition of the Aspire 5 and Aspire 3 to the Aspire series. The GX281 is targeted toward gamers whereas the Swift 1, Aspire 5 and Aspire 3 are pretty much for anyone to use at the office or simply for personal use.
First announced during the recent New York Global Press conference, the GX281 is equipped with a Ryzen 7 1700X processor to provide the best gaming and streaming experience it has to offer. The computer features the AMD RX480 graphics card so you can experience gaming in 4K. It is encased in an armour-inspired chassis with front-facing LED lights that emits a red glow, giving it somewhat of a personality of its own.
The Acer Swift 1 boasts a slim and light body – weighing in at 1.3kg and measuring 14.95mm. The all-metal chassis houses a 13.3 inch full HD display, 4GB memory and 128GB of SDD storage. The battery life is said to be 10 hours and the 2×2 MIMO 802.11ac wireless technology for connectivity to offer a few extra hours of usage.

Additionally, it comes with a fingerprint sensor that supports Windows Hello for secure logins and features Acer BluelightShield to reduce eye strain.
The Aspire series features a 180-degree lay flat display, Acer BluelightShield screen technology, Precision Touchpad, and comes with a USB 3.0 port that supports power-off charging and two USB 2.0 ports. Dubbed as modern and chic, the Aspire 5 comes with NVIDIA GeForce graphics, and a 15.6-inch Full HD display.

The Acer Aspire 3, on the other hand, comes with either a 14-inch HD or 15.6-inch HD display and comes in handy for everyday tasks.
The Acer Aspire GX281 is priced at RM5499. Available in three colours – Salmon Pink, Luxury Gold and Sparkly Silver, the Acer Swift currently retails for RM2199. The Aspire 5 has the Intel Core i5 and AMD processor variants priced at RM2,639.00 and RM2,549.00 respectively, whereas price for the Aspire 3 series ranges from RM1,339.00 to RM1,499.00.
