What better way to incorporate technology in the lives of the younger generation than inspiring interest through interactive learning and role-play experiences? KidZania Kuala Lumpur recently announced KidZ & Tech 2.0 : The Future Rebooted with partners VR Lab Bhd, U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur and Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.
There will be many exciting and interactive workshops as well as hands-on activities to be organized from 16 May and 24 June. Aligned with KidZania’s mission to aid children “Learn Life Today”, the activities are aimed towards engaging children and showcasing technologies in different ways:
Virtual Reality with VR Lab Bhd
Here, children can put in specially-designed goggles and immerse themselves in a computer-generated, 3-dimensional 360-degree environment with the help of a highly advanced control system. They will be able to touch and feel objects in this environment as though they are real.
360-degree Photo-Taking with U Mobile Sdn Bhd
Participants will be able to take creative photos with a smartphone by simply remaining in a standing position while turning a full 360-degree circle to capture great photos using many different filters. Later, the pictures will be shared on the KidZania Kuala Lumpur Facebook page.
Augmented Reality Colouring
Colouring has never been more fun. Children will be able watch in amazement as their colouring sheet come alive beyond the page using a smartphone/tablet app.
Coding
With guidance, this 30 minute activity includes programming and design their own game using BB-8 and Javascript.
Weekends bring 2 additional activities : The family-friendly Mystery Skype where a mystery called will provide clues to guess the identity of the caller as well as session on Kahoot!, the popular learning game where children will get to test their knowledge on KidZania Kuala Lumpur.
