Put Your HANDS Up for Malaysia’s Finest Percussion Group

HANDS Percussion has been part of the Malaysian performing arts scene since 1997 and still remains the first and only fully professional and self-funded percussion body till today. They have wowed audiences at home and internationally with their spellbinding, cultural performances and still continues to do so.

In the press release held at Royal Selangor today, Bernard Goh, Founder and Artistic Director of HANDS Percussion says that the group will be coming up with many exciting projects and performances over the course of these next few months in conjunction with their 20th anniversary this year with the notion being “Artistry Inspiring Change”.

This year will see HANDS touring to four cities throughout April and May – Johor, Ipoh, Penang and Kuantan where the 80-minute program will feature popular favourites such as Classic, Rhythm Ride, In the Name of Celebration, Drumbeat Inferno, Awakening, Owed and Bare Hands Dance.

Other events are set to be taking place in August and September and they include Wind of Nomads Concert, a cumulative 3 year project between HANDS and Dafra Drums of West Africa, and DeafBeat 10th anniversary concert which will feature the hearing impaired children that have been coached and taken in by the HANDS community.
