The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival returns for the 25th year. The festival will be taking place between 31st March and 9th April 2017 in the iconic Lygon Street. Melbourne will be a spectacle for celebrating food and wine as it will also collaborate with a major coinciding event during the period – The World’s 50 Best Restaurants Announcement.
The Bank of Melbourne World’s Longest Lunch will be headed up by culinary godfather of Italian cuisine and Festival Favourite – Antonio Carluccio. Inspired by his latest cookbook, the menu will be a design of autumnal Italian fare. Bringing his vision to life will be Peter Rowland Catering.
The table will stretch out an impressive 580 metres to space some 1600 diners. Diners will be able to experience many Australian culinary firsts including espresso coffee, pizza and alfresco dining. Live entertainment inspired by original Lygon Street Fiesta will also light up the atmosphere and make this year’s MFWF a definite highlight.
